Tell us a bit about yourself
Hello, I’m Lee also known as THE OH (Officially Hinched) on Instagram and TikTok. I’m33 years old from London UK. I have been apart of the cleaning/ Hinching community now since March 2019. I started following Mrs Hinch around 3 years ago and my friend Lucy encouraged me to create my own account, so I decided to take the plunge and create Officially Hinched
I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and try my best to incorporate that into my page, keeping things fun, bright, positive and colourful
My passions are cleaning, home, organisation, storage goals, shopping for bargains and living my best life for less.
I have worked with a number of the worlds most famous cleaning and home brands and to date have shared over 500 product reviews
My ultimate goal is to have fun and enjoy posting each day. I have met some incredible people and experienced so many amazing things since starting my Instagram page, and my goal is to enjoy it and make the most of it for as long as possible.

How did you learn how to keep a home?
My mum taught me to clean and tidy at a young age, to earn pocket money. As a child, I wasn’t the best at looking after things, but after leaving home at 17years old and having to keep a home for myself I realised the importance of budgeting, living a good life for less and the importance of keeping nice things and having a nice clean positive space around me.
What is your favourite homemaking activity?
I would say cleaning first and foremost, it’s amazing how much longer things last if you keep them clean from new. It doesn’t matter how much something cost, if you look after it, it will last you much longer saving you money. I love t shop at bargain stores, and make sure to treat myself monthly, but stick within a budget.
I buy things that spark joy and make me smile as a treat to myself. I am not very materialistic, for me it has always been the little things that spark joy and I will encourage people to shop for less and enjoy the experience
What homemaking product couldn’t you live without?
There are many, but for me I am all about home fragrances. I love my Febreze, Designer Fragrances Blast Cans, Plug Ins, Reed diffusers and Wax melts. I also love a good glass cleaner, a good multipurpose anti bacterial cleaner and a good all in one spray. Some of my favourite brands include Fairy, Lenor, Unstoppables, Febreze, Astonish, Elbow Grease, Sph2onge, The Pink Stuff, TealTrunk, Minky, Scrub Daddy Cif and Bin Buddy
Do you ever feel overwhelmed? How do you cope?
I often feel overwhelmed but over the last few years have learned the beauty of creating small and simple lists. Prioritising the major jobs/ things that bother me, and working my way down a list leading to the things that can wait a little longer. Never ever take on everything at once. Simplify it. Tackle everything in small and easy segments. Try and take on everything at once, you achieve nothing.
Why is #shinenotshame important to you?
On Instagram, it can be a very very supportive and loving place, full of people who uplift and inspire but it can also be a darker place at times and I think it’s important to use social media to be kind and positive but also, I believe in using your platform as a voice for truth. If something is not quite right,we need to speak up and be honest and if it is confrontational or scary we need to overcome that to ensure we are being true to ourselves and doing the right thing by the people who follow us
What is an interesting fact about you?
The combination of cleaning and social media brought together two of my passions, although before Instagram I was a wild child who would be out partying every single weekend without fail. Instagram and creating my content has calmed me massively and given my life a new meaning. A great new group of friends, hundreds of product reviews, new relationships with brands and small businesses and the ability to help others without leaving my home genuinely has improved my life so much
