Hi, my name is Beth and i run @cleaningwith_beth on Instagram and TikTok. I started my account in March 2019 along with my sister in law, as inspired by Mrs Hinch but after a few months, took the account up solely myself & here we are now!
How did you learn how to keep a home?
My love of cleaning began to grow since finding Mrs Hinch & I am so glad to have found the community to which we are all involved in now, I've made some bamazing friends for life. My ultimate goal in life would be to do Instagram full time as a home life & cleaning blogger - big ambition i know!
What is your favourite homemaking activity?
I can honestly say that cleaning the bathroom is my favourite. I know not a lot of people can say that because we all know what happens in there. But the satisfaction levels of cleaning a bathroom are high!
What homemaking product couldn’t you live without?
What product couldn't I live without? That's a hard one! but honestly, I couldn't live without disinfectant! some of the bamazing fragrances available by brands are just incredible & can be used all year round and all around the home.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed? How do you cope?
Being a mother of two kids who works majority of the week, I am not afraid to say that I get overwhelmed quite often, it seems like the list is never-ending - but I have learnt over time that going back to basics helps a lot. So instead of writing down everything I need to do. I will start in one corner of the room and work my way around, cleaning and tidying as I go - then once I get back to my starting position I can stand back and see what I've achieved! now that is a good feeling!!
Why is #shinenotshame important to you?
#ShineNotShame is very important to me because we all have lives & its important to show people that its okay if your home isn't "insta perfect" every single day. I spend most of my time in my home, and a lot of that time is playing and making memories with my children, sometimes its a challenging day and nothing gets done, sometimes the day runs smoothly and I can also clean the whole house - but honestly, I wouldn't be where I am today if i didn't have anything to clean! 😉
What is an interesting fact about you?
An interesting fact about me? Well, i used to love to draw, and without blowing my own trumpet, i used to be pretty good! I'm hoping one day ill be able to pick up a pencil again.
