A couple years ago I was asked by a woman who’s wedding I was shooting to do a boudoir shoot for her, as a gift for her husband to be. I’d never done anything like that before but I was game to try something new. Turns out I was pretty good at it because she loved the photos (and so did he).
What I took from that shoot however, more than anything else, was that she said she’d never felt and looked so amazing. She encouraged me to pursue it.
At the same time, I had women in my life being super resentful towards themselves and not loving themselves. Nothing I would say would make any difference - I often went blue in the face trying to reassure them to no avail.
So I figured why not try and use my new found skills to show people how great they can look, instead of tell them (without the use of Photoshop/filters).
That’s how You at Yours and Body Confidence Shoots in London were born.
